Lost In Menu Translation

Eating light took on a whole new meaning with this menu we spotted in the heart of Old Montreal.  I love a good gastronomic giggle due to bad translation.  Now, how would you like your lamp?  I hear the braised lamp is very tender, just be sure to unplug it first.

I’m sure this is menu hiccup is retaliation for my daily butchering of the French language since moving across the river to Quebec.  I call this “learning”.  Deep apologies to all French speaking peoples for my offensive use of improperly conjugated verbs and ill treated vowels.  I know you laugh when I leave.

It’s OK, I’ll have the lamp chops, medium.
